Care Worker

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Manager/ Coordinator

Purpose of Position

To provide care within the community to the elderly, disabled or those in need of support with independent living.

Scope of Position

Precious Care Services provides a diversity of services, which respects dignity and supports independent living. We are Liability Insured, CQC registered and all staff are trained and CRB checked. At Precious Care Services, we pride ourselves on the delivery of a quality home care service, designed to meet the individual needs.The services we provide are regularly reviewed to sustain a level of standard throughout.


Care workers are required to assist in providing a range of services of care to Service Users within the community. The care services provided range from; Personal Care, Administrative Care, Social Care and Household Care, all of which aims to support independent living.

Administrative Support

  • Benefits Advice

  • Supporting Agencies
  • Assistance with paying bills/ fees

Social Support

  • Social intervention
  • Attending groups, meetings, events


  • To conform to all policies and procedures lay down by the Precious Care Services Ltd in respecting of carrying out the care Duties and in other administrative aspects of the business, as relevant.
  • Care workers must comply with the needs and services outlined in the Care Plan ·
  • Care workers must attend all mandatory training
  • Care workers must exercise sensitivity, equal opportunity and diversity
  • To assist Service Users to live in their homes, whilst receiving personalised care
  • To assist with the administration of medication
  • To assist in prescribed medical exercises
  • To assist patients in and out of bed
  • To assist with personal care like bathing, dressing and grooming
  • To assist with shopping
  • To assist with household duties
  • To assist in the preparation of meals
